Student Social Responsibility Committee
The San Mateo-Foster City School District has a Student Social Responsibility Committee to support schools regarding the social and emotional development of all students. This committee is comprised of parents, teachers, community members and district staff, and is guided by the District's Strategic Plan. Our objectives are:
- To provide youth development in order to support academic achievement and social and emotional well being through the promotion of school connectedness, meaningful student participation in the classroom, school community and civic responsibility.
- To implement prevention programs through the administration and analysis of a variety of data, the use of science based curricula, and effective teacher training in order to promote healthy development and protect students from engaging in unhealthy behaviors.
