New Student Registration
Registration in the San Mateo-Foster City School District for the 2012-2013 school year has begun. Parents registering new students or wishing to transfer their student to another school within the district should familiarize themselves with this process.
New Student Registration
To register your child in the San Mateo-Foster City School District, you will need to register in person at your school of assignment. All students in the District are assigned to a school based on their home address. Parents may use the School Finder to determine their school of assignment or contact the District Office at (650) 312-7700.
Intradistrict Transfers
Parents may request an intradistrict transfer to another school in the San Mateo-Foster City School District, which is not their assigned school. Applications are due by Friday, February 3 to any school office or the District Office. Enrollment priority for transfers is established by lottery. Registration Requirements
To register your child in the San Mateo-Foster City School District, you will need to register in person at your school of assignment. To determine your school of assignment, use our School Finder, or call the District Office at (650) 312-7700.
You will need the following documents:
- Welcome to the San Mateo-Foster City School District Packet
- New Student Registration Form
- Birth Certificate or Passport (children enrolling in Kindergarten must be five years old on or before November 1, 2012)
- Parent Identification (driver license or photo ID)
- Up-to-Date Immunization Record
- Report of Health Examination for School Entry (encouraged at kindergarten, but not required until 1st grade)
- Home Language Survey
- Informal Primary Language Survey. Parents who indicated English Only on the Home Language Survey do not need to complete this survey.
- Two Current Utility Bills (PG&E, water, phone, cable or garbage). If you’ve recently moved and do not have utility bills in your name yet, a lease agreement or close of escrow papers will be accepted. If you live in a place in which your name does not appear on the deed, utility bills or lease agreement, the person with whom you live with would need to submit two current utility bills, an Affidavit of Residence and a picture ID in person.
